Martin Morgan built me a home that I have fallen in love with and I am certain he will do the same for you. Not a day goes by that I don’t look at some detail in my home and marvel at Martin’s foresight is suggesting an improvement or feature that he just “knew” would be appreciated in the years to come.
Getting to Know Each Other….
At the start of the project, Martin spent a lot of time with me and my family to understand how we would like to “live” in our new home. I did a full house renovation of a 4 bedroom ranch home, which entailed adding a room, a full “gut” job of the existing house, and reconfiguring existing walls. I also extensively modified the exterior roof line, hardscape and façade. Prior to our entering into a contract, Martin and I walked through the existing house on multiple occasions. He asked me questions about how I wanted to live in the house. Through that process, I was very impressed by how well Martin “listened” to me, took notes and remembered entire conversations. He made certain he understood what I wanted so that he could deliver that to me. If you read no further, Martin met all his commitments and delivered everything I wanted and more! I asked Martin to take my 1970’s ranch home, demolish it and create a contemporary, elegant, custom home for my family, within budget and schedule. He delivered beyond expectations and I am delighted.
The Quoting Process…..
Martin uses a very thorough process to prepare his quotes. He asks a lot of questions about the materials you would like to use and makes recommendations on items that will help bring more value to your renovation over time. He clearly identifies what is in his quotes. He is also very thorough in quoting elements of the job that may not be readily apparent to the homeowner to avoid surprises and “change orders” once you have gotten into the project. Martin did not rush this part of the project and worked closely with me so that we both understood the foundation that our contract was based upon. After the quoting process, we signed the contract and I literally put my home in Martin’s hands.
Construction Process…..
Key to Martin’s success is his extra-ordinary attention to detail, value, and quality. Martin was on-sight regularly at my home working with allthe tradesman. If something wasn’t done properly, Martin was on top of having it fixed the same or next day. Martin ensured that everything from the framing to the final wall finishes were completed with superior quality. Equally as important was Martin’s frequent and thorough communication with me during the construction process. From the start of demolition to the conclusion of construction, I got accurate projections of the work that would be done and when.During parts of the project, we spoke several times daily. Martin was very, very easy to reach via phone, quickly responded to emails and was willing to come to the job site to suit my schedule. During the constructions process, I would often meet with Martin and we would review what had occurred that day. It was during those sessions, that Martin would make suggestions, anticipating changes that might just improve the feel of a room. For example, while we were framing the family room, he suggested a small change to the plans, it was something as simple and at no cost, such as moving the location of a doorway to better utilize wall space. In that same location, he suggested a re-design to my pantry cabinets for better access and increased storage.
Final Product……
After construction was concluded and we were in the final inspection process, Santa Clara Inspectors marveled at the high quality workmanship of my home. The final product was a result of a Martin Morgan who has great pride of “ownership” in the work he delivers.
